MDX vs. Zaino - I've seen the light!

2004 Acura MDX: Done with mgm2003 on Friday night.

After using Z on my wife’s paint for 6+ weeks, I decided to try it on the MDX. The MDX was topped with FMJ before we switched over to Z.

Process Used:
Wash: CG’s Body Wash
Tires/Rims: CG’s Blue APC, NL dressing
Dry: Big Blue WW

Paint Prep:
ZPC x 1 via PC @ 4.5 using a LC finishing pad

Seal: (Done in heated garage 75 degrees. 15-20 min between coats. Z2Pro cured for 12 hours before final wipe down).

Paint:
Z5 x 2
Z2 pro x 1
Z8 wipe down
#425 clean up. (#425 seems to work well with Z)

Wheels:
Poorboys WS (applied 1 week ago). We topped the wheels with Z5.

Full Sun: If this isn’t some ‘pop’ on the paint, I don’t know what is!!

Z Impressions:
-Does not like cold weather. The final coat of Z2Pro cured in below freezing temps, and it was a little difficult to remove, and Z8 would streak. The paint was COLD. In temperatures above 50 degrees –no problems.

-Z is my new sealer of choice. I’ve used it 3 times, and love it.
 
It is a really fine product. I have had luck down to about 45 degrees with Zaino but 50 or better does seem easier.
 
I have'nt used the products you mentioned but i do like the look of the last pic. The red has a nice glow and added depth.
 
Posts like this make me want to get a red vehicle.

Glad that you like the Zaino. I really think it has a place for some people! I know that it worked for me. I use Z8 weekly.(I know...it does not need to beused weekly) It really keeps the pop going. I also really like the slickness that it provides. I have never experienced anything like it.
 
That last pic is amazing.

As for the Z not working quite in cold weather, I don't think that Sal was expecting crazy people to be outside trying to apply his product while wearing mittens :lol:

AIO+SG+Good Carnauba is just as good in my opinion, but Zaino still amazes me. I just did the that combo on a brand new infiniti, came out great!
 
The MDX turned out very nice!


Greg likes the look of Z2Pro over Z5.

I have to agree that Z2pro looks really good on metallic paint.

Me Greg? Although Im not to fond of zaino, Z2pro over the z5 worked best for me. The reflections were crisp, real crisp, and the paint was very bright.

Awesome job on the MDX, I really like that last shot, It shows best the brightness I am refering to.

GregCavi -No, I was referring to my neighbor Greg (GBG TL). -LOL!

If you like the carnuba look IMO FK is the route to take. It's as close to Z as I've seen (in many ways).
 
I'm now blind after looking at that last pic!!! Great job on making it look so "where's my sunglasses". Zaino is one of the last products I still have not tried. Very impressive.
