Mazda RX-8 -- Detail for a friend

My buddy just bought this RX-8 as an extra, for fun, car. He wanted the paint corrected and protected. He also wanted the interior cleaned and detailed. This won't be a daily driver and will always be garaged. He just wanted to make it look sweet and get it ready for summer.

Here is what I used:

Wheels & Wheel Wells

Amazing Roll Off -- tires, and wheel wells
Meguiar's Wheel Brightner -- rims

Wash

Dawn Dishwashing Soap.....

Engine

Amazing Roll Off
Dressed with 303 Aerospace Protectant

Carpets

Folex -- spot treatment
Pro-Form (Sams Club) Carpet Cleaner -- Cleaning
Bissell

Leather

Clean -- Woolite 10:1
Condition -- Meguiar's Leather Cleaner & Conditioner (just got it!)

Interior and Door Jams

Meguiars APC+ 4:1
Plastic & Dash treated with 303
Alcohol & Water 50/50 for windows
Also treated all of the rubber seals with 303 Protectant

Paint

Klasse AIO w/ white CCS pad

Collinite 845 w/ Grey CCS pad

Looks great jonnyboy, great clean up on the Mazda! BTW are you in the Yuba area? I was at Beale AFB back in the 70's for 6 months and the town your from sound familiar. I could be wrong.

Totally! Colusa is about 25 miles away from Yuba City and about 40 miles from Beale. You remember right my friend!

jonnyboy,

The Mazda looks great. Great turn around. One think to keep in mind though. You did such a great job cleaning the wheels, so you might want to seal them, so they will be easier to clean the next time.

Thanks for sharing with us.

Oh crap.... I think I forgot to put that on there. I sealed them with KAIO and then Collinite 845. I could not believe the amount of brake dust that was on there. I wanted to make sure cleanup was easy for him next time. Thank you!! Great minds think alike :) Jonathan

The Klasse All In One works really good on those. I increase the speed of the PC7424XP up to 6 and go over them 2-3 times. It works awesome.
