um...its hard saying...I only did one application of each of the products. Using the FC Rubbing Compound definately took the longest of all the steps. I used a bit more of that product and just did like 2-3' squares at a time. I rub the pad over the area and spread the product out a bit before turning the machine on. Then, with the PC on 5, I make slow steady passes back and forth in the "horizontal" direction and then work the area in the "vertical" direction. I could be wrong here, but to me, it seems the most important thing is to let the machine do the work. You don't want to puch down on the PC. The pad should actually be making revolutions, which it won't if you're pushing down....from there, I just work the product until its starting to get close to "powdery" at which point I'd crank up the PC and make a quick pass with VERY light pressure. Buff off by hand with a MF.
Followed this up with the same process using the SMR and "worked" the product pretty well in this step too. After that, with the Glaze and the NXT, I didn't really "work" the product much. Really just applied at a pretty decent speed and instantly noticed more shine and pop when buffing out the glaze.
I was asked before about using the SMR and the Hand Glaze...From my 2 experiences, they do completely different things. I still had some minor swirls and webbing after using the FC...these all disappeared with the next step of the SMR. And, as I said, the hand glaze over the SMR made for a VERY noticable difference in "brightness" and reflection. It looked clean, but the glaze gave it a great "pop" immediately.
