Master Mechanic Polisher

I have been researching PC and my dad told me that I could use his if I wanted. It is a Master Mechanic Model MM900 Type 2 120 volt AC 50/60 Hz .65 amp. That is all the information I could get on it and couldn't find it on the internet. Here is one that looks similar.

Motor City Tools 10210 - 10" Oribital Polisher / Waxer Kit

I am not looking to put my truck into any shows or start doing a lot of cars. I plan on using this once a year and that is about it.

It'll apply wax and save your hands from cramping up, but don't expect it to remove defects.

A PC is really worth it, even if you use it to apply wax. I bought mine for near full price a few years ago and I NEVER regret it.

The PC 7336 that many people use is rated at 3.4 amps, while rotary polishers are usually around 10 amps.

Your dad's .65 amp polisher just doesn't have enough power.

So it would be impossible to polish a car with this machine or just not as effective?

It would be like polishing by hand. It wouldn't break down the polishes like you would need it to do and would probably leave the finish more dull than anything.
