I was just wondering if i put masking tape on the paint that has about 2-3 coats of SG on it, how will SG stand up to the tape when i remove it the tape?

should be fine...its not going to peel off the sealant glaze if that what your thinking

if ever you have a concern that the tape is too strong , like if the car has a cheap paint job...stick the tape to your pant leg or t shirt first, the lint will reduce its stickyness to a safe level

And better still, use a good painters tape, not cheap masking tape. You won't have to worry that you might leave it on 10 minutes too long either. Love how cheap masking tape turns to concrete adhesive as it ages.

thanks for the replies guys. i'm going to use the 3m tape, not going cheap. reason i ask is because i am planning to leave my car at a shop to have some work done and i don't want to get my car back with scratched up fenders and bumper. by the way, will water affect the 3m blue masking tape. i don't want it to "bond".
