Marketing idea that really works

Vistaprint:

1) the cards are flimsy compared to these

2) they print www.vistaprint.com on the back

3) I ordered mine last night at 8pm and i will have them by friday morning, and i could have had them today if i paid out the @$$





As far as mailing, i have 1000 envelopes sitting here, and all of the GC will be printed ahead of time. Basicly when i get a customer from a card, a thank you letter and gift certificate will be sent immediatly. Oh and the post office is also about 100 yards from my house so it is easy for me to keep on top of it on my way out each morning.
 
Let me tell you about VISTAPRINT.com. The cards that I ordered for my detailing business were from an imported image on my comp. and edited through their program. The FIRST batch of cards for 1000 were fine except that the edges were showing a white border on one side and the top of the other. After calling them and complaining about this problem, they sent me a second batch. However, everything was fine except that they forgot to include the glossy feature. Oh boy..annoying. I called them again and everything was ok, except the other side looked slightly off as far as alignment goes. So I called them once more. Finally, the FOURTH batch of cards they send were ok. There wasn't any vistaprint.com logo on the back of my card, but now i have 4000 of them. I tediously trimmed the edges on the first batch to salvage what was sent so in the long run it turned out ok. I referred their service to my uncle and they screwed up the first batch cause something wasn't bolded. Also, the cards seemed somewhat smaller than the normal size. This was corrected the second time around, but it seems like they have a bad track record at producing cards right the first time. All in all, not a bad investment of money if you have the time to wait. Otherwise, use a different provider.

I took up tpgsr on his reccomendation for ovenight prints. They have a really nice selection of automotive cards. I ordered about a week ago and have not received them yet. I did not like the limited ability to move text around on the card like you can with Vistaprint and only 6 formats to choose from also I could not figure how to load artwork or logo for the card ? Vistaprint allows this easily. I will let you know when I get them and the quality.
