WEll i know it seems obvious t use a copier machine to make copies of my brochure like i did last year, but i have a problem... I dont like the fact that you can use only the one type of paper thickness in the machine if this is true? I wanted to make my brochures a little bit heavier to seem more presentable, but i dont want to pay anyone if i have a few thousand dollar machine sitting in my home.

I was thinking of making my heavier copies on my printer of my computer, but i think the ink usage would be insane. I need thousands of them mad, but only black ink as well on like a grey or beige paper. My mom says that the copy machine if thick paper is used it will jam?

I have no clue about what thickness paper the copier would be able to take. You'll have to contact that manufacturer to see what they say or give it a try.

I'd think it would use a lot of ink but I have no clue what kind of copier you have. Different printers use different ink cartridges and they cost different prices. I'd never consider making that many copies on my little printer that's hooked to my computer. Would cost WAY too much.

See if there are any professional print shops around you and see how much they charge. I think I paid $60 to $75 for 1000 black and white, front and back, and folded brochures. That's way less than it would cost me to do at my house and I would have had to fold them myself.

Well the copy machine i have is worth about 10,000 thousand dollar cause it was used for a business. It is a commmercial copier, but i think they old do the one type of thickness. ill check into it.

You do not need a pro print shop to make it for you. I have gone to staples and picked up the heavier paper for presentations and make copies on it at home. You will not have a problem. Just dont get the paper that does not bend like cardboard of something, then it will not work.

To save yourself some time, buy the paper at staples and bring with you your proof. Fill the copy machine with the heavy paper and make your copies at staples. It is self serve and you will be out in 10min.
