Making a Phaeton worthy.......

Wow... just... WOW.

Definitely one of the best black details I've seen. Perfect correction.

Gorgeous car, beautifully detailed... I bet that is one happy owner.

BigPoppa, thanks. It's simply an awesome car to work on. It felt like a rare gem.

Sean, this one helped me out as the paint is super flat.

Craig, point it out and I'll go back and take care of it.;)

SuperBee, thanks! The owner is happy. He posted above as well.:)

Thanks Scott.

How'd it get that bad? Well he bought it used and the previous owner was the dealer manager. That answer it for you?;)

:LOLOL Pretty much what I suspected!

I actually had a customer have me detail his BMW 745Li before he turned it in at the end of the lease and Moritz BMW complimented him on how nice it looked. A few weeks later when he has his new 750Li in for servicing, he saw his 745 on their used car lot and it now had rotary swirls all over it.

That car looks amazing. Ultima is a very nice looking product, and you guys did an incredible job on the polishing!

Scott, I *honestly* don't think they even look at the car but that it's automatic for them to go ahead and buff it. I don't get it.:wall

Wow.... Nice job! No wait, unbelievable job. I want a Phaeton if for no other reason that you don't see many of them. They are pretty reasonable used or otherwise now but the parts availability and cost has to s*ck big time (VAG parts are expensive enough -- they must kill you on the Phaeton specific stuff since there is probably so little of it out there).

Again, stupendous job and nice ride!

Couple more pictures that I didn't post before....

SpoiledMan- I'm late to this party, but I wanted to add my :bow

I always liked those cars, both for their no-frilly styling and the way I felt you paid for the *car* and not the name. Heh heh, I kinda like those wheels too :D I bet the owner got a lot of car for his money.

ssmokn- Yeah, the parts/servicing would make me think twice about having one for my primary driver  The interior "features" are a bit on the modern/high-tech side for my taste, and I wonder how well the VW dealers will be able to keep them working right..but looks-wise I rank the Phaetons right up there with my beloved (early) A8s.

Thanks you sir.:)

While I have seen a few of these cars I had only seen one once up close before this one. I thought it was nice but it was just sitting there. The owner of this car showed me the luxuries and yes, it is a LOT of car for the money. I would be worried about the dealer network but from what I've read they're being well taken care of even when the cars are out of warranty.

That's good news, if VW ever wants to sell another expesive care they'd better take good care of Phaeton owners.

Walking out to my car today, I was reminded of how fantastic a job you did. There were a few people crowded around the car asking each other about it. The paint looked so good that they thought it was a new release from VW. Imagine their astonishment when I told them that it was an '04 that spent its winters plowing through snow in the Midwest.

The car looks amazing; and I am a very fortunate person to drive it.

And thanks to you, it feels like a brand new car.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for the question regarding VW service -- I get star treatment at the dealership. They bend over backwards to provide excellent service. Much of it can be attributed to the dealership (VW of Santa Monica) and their dedicated Phaeton Service Advisor and Mechanic -- but I have never encountered anything but great service.

I am getting together with other local phaeton owners next Sunday -- I cannot wait!
