Makes baby Jesus want to cry....

This is hardly surprising. I don't really get worked up over this stuff anymore. People will choose whom they wish to work on their vehicles. That's their prerogative. If they want to swirl their paint, scrape concrete over their hood, or urinate onto doors, who am I to say anything different?

Let's just hope they didnt turn on launch control when they pulled it around and void the warranty too.

Waterblade FTL!

Worked on a GT-R today with a replaced tranny. Even got to see the work order. ~$26k CAD. Good times. Rotor replacement at 3,000 km too ($5,800).

Ouch!!!

What is it with people and their GT-R's? Wasn't there another thread with a guy wiping it down with rags or something?

Ouch. It's a cool car, but it's not even on my radar if I get lucky and hit the redneck retirement numbers! :D I saw one in my neighborhood the other day, it's nice, but I wasnt drooling.

Well, it's tough to deny the numbers, it's a quick car. Would it be my choice for 90k CAD? No, but I do respect the engineering. Now if Nissan can only get this transmission thing sorted out.

Totally agree. You can't really blame magazines for riding the GT-R and its performance numbers really.

GTR is the most love it/hate it car of the year.

those that love it - love the performance and the number's it puts out, especially when price is in the equation.

those that hate it - say it doesn't match up with some of the standards for the cars its competing with (duh...price difference).

surely we can talk about "glass tranny" and the dumb idea of putting a feature on a car (LC) that will void its warranty.

fact is, i think many owners will never race/track their GT-R. surely you will get some that do, but for many people, it'll never see rain, a track, LC used, etc.

So love it or hate it, you gotta give it to Nissan for creating interest in one of their products. Surely Honda will be under the spot-light once the new NSX debuts.

.....now if we could get the GT-R owners to stop wiping their cars off with rocks....
