Majestic Solutions new wax- anybody try it? It's called Deep Wet

JAFO
Hey, I know there are a few NC guys on this forum that use Majestic products, looking at you Bunky! so I'm either going to pick up a pint of Deep Wet or Menzerna Power Lock tomorrow. I'd like to hear from the crew what ya'll think. I hope somebody has tried this new stuff. IMHO - Majestic has some excellant products, and they have some not so good too. I'd really like to know more before risking it!

Thanks

JB

I'm not interested in using their chemicals after talking with one of the guys who mixes for them. I got the impression that there is no consistency. He had almost zero detailing experience or knowledge and he also said he could duplicate any formula by "smelling" it. I do pick up some supplies there from time to time, like brushes, towels, applicators, etc.

Powerlock has such broad appeal, nearly no negative feedback...why risk it? I used to shop their store when I lived in NC, I agree with Nth, they seem like they've been smelling their chemicals for a bit too long. Their LSPs were so sub par for me, some of the other stuff was just OK. It was more of a novelty to be able to go into a detailing store at the time.

Guys! Majestic has:

the best damn APC I've EVER used - Super Green

the best special cleaner - Tidal Wave - 10:1 on interiors to 1:1 engines, and it's the only thing that works when everything else has been tried!

Sure - Wheel Brite is probably Megs - but it's cheap

Tire Dressing - I've tried dozens and I keep coming back to Poly Pro, if you let it dry, it dries clear and even that extra that gets on the rims is clear, it's also great on trim; being water based, it's not going to last for months, but it looks great.

Their " Bug Off" is hands down better than anybody elses product.

They have a QD -Spray Shine, that is better than highly hyped FK425 - I know, tried both.

Wax - HiGloss Fine Finishing Wax - formerly known as banana wax is great, goes on fast, wipes off with a light touch, even on the MOST humid days even when applied by ham fisted rednecks like me!

Lastly - they make 2 great glass cleaners -one in a can and one for the pump bottle - I actually gave up my beloved Stoners IG for theirs.

The store itself is pretty nice, decent prices on MF towels and stuff.

Issues I've had with Majestic are with the "compound/polishes" and hell, let's get real here, it takes mega $$ to get that stuff right. Look at Megs - they have been at it for 100 years and it was just recently that they came up with the wonders that are M101-105. Menzerna - meh - I was a big fan, but not so much that I'd switch back.

So other than polishes, they have everything I use (ok -can't stop using DG for car wash) , and they sell Menzerna so that's why I have the question.

I forgot about Poly Pro, stuff does look great, but it seems to be just like hyperdressing.

I have compared prices since they recently started carrying Menzerna and have had Meg's products for a while too. Cheaper to order online. Great if I ever find myself in desperate need of something immediately, but they charge a premium.

If they want to provide me some samples I'd give them a shot but I know they are catering to the volume shops.

I've only compared Plowerlock and they price was 30 bucks -same as AG and everywhere else, but, sales tax is cheaper than paying shipping.

Haven't tried Ultra Gloss, but I'm currently testing out the Enviro-Shield stuff.

who is the rep out of Roanoke Rapids that sells relabeled Majestic Solutions? Eastern Production Supply? or something like that?

Thanks for the kind words Junebug. The wheel brite is made in RDU at our plant. Please check out our blog on our website :: Majestic Solutions Inc :: Specialty Appearance Products for the Automotive Industry concerning the Deep Wet products. I promise you have never used this type of crafted wax before. Each batch is hand crafted here in the USA. The wax is cooked not blended, This alows for a higher concentration of carnauba because cooking wax takes longer to produce plain and simple. We made our company what it is today by catering to the small guy. We know that all big business starts out as a small business. Its our core, who we are. Compared to our competitors, we are the small guy. We thank each and everyone of you who try our products. The entire staff at Majestic rely on all of you to provide dance lessons and little league for our families. That means we are 100% committed to you and listening to what you have to say. If you try any of the Body Butter,Deep Wet or any other Majestic Solutions product and are not happy return it. We will give you a replacement product or your money back 100% every time. Anyone who goes into either of our Charlotte or Raleigh stores ask for a sample and take a test drive on us. Thanks again for your support and business.

Update! I tried the Deep Wet wax. I did everything I could to apply it wrong, just to give it the bubba test. That is I over applied, waited 30 minutes and then wiped it off. Results, well it went on great, was a little hard to remove BUT - no dust, did NOT stain trim and the look was amazing. I plan to do it again tomorrow the right way and report back.

Did it give a deep wet look???

Well, doing stuff wrong gives me an idea of how user friendly it is. The weather could not have been worse, max humidity and no breeze.

Results and opinion:

It is easy on and much easier off if you remove quickly, still nowhere as easy as BFWD.

Looks really good, on par with any LSP I have used.

Durability remains to be scene

Things I didn't like:

Smell, heavy chemical like varnish scent

Tune in later for more updates
