I have found a nice paint maintenance regimen that keeps my red VW GTI looking better than new. I have been topping my weekly wash with an LSP of either Poorboys Spray and Gloss or Duragloss Aquawax. Every other week or so it gets the AW. The car really looks great and I have been getting a lot of comments like-----"It's the brightest red I have ever seen".
My original process when the car was new (April 2006) was:
Wash PB SSS
Clay-Meg's
PB PWC Blue
PB EX x2
PB Natty's Blue x2
DG Aquawax-every other week, alternating with PB S&G
Black trim-303
Wheels-homemade mix of Klasse AIO and SG w/water
Glass-ext-AW, int-Stoners
Leather-Mother's Reflections
Int trim-PB Natural Look or 303
