Machine Wash LC Foam Pads?

I have machine washed mine before without a problem. However, I haven't done it in a while. I wash mine by hand now to prevent any damage.
 
Scott, what is your cleaning technique? You've given up machine washing all together? I was thinking of putting them in one of those mesh bags and then in the washer.
 
I think doing them by hand is the best way to clean them . The washer will beat them up to much .
 
I wash in the machine. Never had a problem. Just dont dry them. Its easiter if you have a washer that is a front loader because there is no agitator, cept the wife.
 
I've seen that people use Dawn, Grease Lightning, Simple Green, White Vinegar and Murphy's Oil Soap. What do you use? Do you dillute it and soak it or do you spray it on straight? :huh
 
I soak in a pail with Dawn for an hour then aggitate by hand and rinse in warm water and I made a pad dryer that lets them drip dry.
 
I've washed them many times in the washer. I use the "delicate" setting and a liquid detergent and let air dry. When hand washing, I let them soak in a bucket of detergent and water for a day or a few hours so that most of the stuff in the pad migrates out and settles at the bottom, then I agitate and rinse a few times before letting them air dry. I believe the thing you don't want to do with the pads is wring them out.
