Machine Polishing a glass table please advise

There are some scratches in this very large glass table in my mom's place. I've never done glass before so I just wanted to check with the autopia world. Does anybody have some experience with this sort of stuff. If I am going to screw something up please let me know!! I have a cylco some pads and compound options are as follows:

Surbuf pads

Wool pads

Orange, yellow, blue, and white foam pads.

I also have M105 and a malco medium cut compound and a final finishing polish.

cerium oxide is the only mineral that will polish glass. You will need to buy some glass polish, but it would be easier to cover in some protection film like Clearplex, and it will probably fill the scratches with the adhesive.
