For the people out there who have used megs machine glaze, is it ok to apply with a rotary and a finishing pad? or should I use my pc. will the results be any different? Thanks,

HBblazer - I'm new to detailing the "correct" way and have learned a lot from Autopia , but my product choice is Meguiar's. Based on Meguiar's web site, which I have posted below, the Machine Glaze #3 is for use with a rotary buffer, but I don't see any reason that you can't use your PC. I don't think that the heat that you can build up with a rotary is a necessity to make the product work. You might try to post your question on the Meguiar's Forum for a more exact answer. I also think the finishing pad is the correct choice for either tool. I can't say the results will be different since I have never used #3, my personal choice is #7 with a PC.

Machine Glaze - The ultimate machine-applied shine. Meguiar's Machine Glaze lets you achieve a deep, rich gloss unmatched by any other polish, glaze, wax or sealant. Rich nutrients penetrate and revitalize all paint finishes, as well as fiberglass and plastic. Buffing residue wipes off easily to reveal the original brilliance and clarity of your finish. For use with a rotary buffer only Made For Professionals

Sorry about my post above, I meant to write that I've learned a lot from Detail City. I'm a newbie, so a 1000 pardons.

It will work fine with a rotary, as long as you know how to use one. The finishing pad is the way to go.

It also works well via hand as well as PC.

I did a test.... half vehicle with machine glaze / Rotary other half machine glaze with PC.
Big difference, Rotary did fantastic......both look'd good, but using the Rotary was a big step up for a better shine

It's been a while since I have used the #3, but I seem to remember that it worked better with the rotary than the PC, also.

I have used it with the rotary but the instructions in Meguiars Product guide say you can use it with a PC as well. I think it will work best with a rotary because it is a polish as well as a glaze and will remove swirls.

yeah i was kinda hoping to hear that kimwallace because i was planning on using it (with a rotary) after DACP, i was just wondering if that combo would work
