M3 Convertible - Swissol Concorso + OCW

actually this was the first time ive tried layering something over the Concorso. Have a look at my sig for pics of straight Concorso on solid black and red



i only used the OCW because my detailer recommended i try it. He has been using OCW as a topper for P21S with great results



i plan on doing a complete Clearkote detail within the next couple weeks as i was very impressed with the wetness on the F430 (see sig). I was helping a mate today detail his new Reno Clio Cup and i was using his RO - ive decided to buy myself one and will be using it with the Clearkote VMG and RMG





Diesel, i paid just under AUD $300 for the tub. Not sure whether it would be cheaper in US, probably would be. But you do apparently need to apply one of their Cleaner Fluids (strong, medium or light) as a base for the wax to adhere properly





And yes it is called Swissvax in some markets
 
Yes, I remember some of those shots. The Swissol black 350z showed amazing range. I was just putting that comment out there to see whether you noticed a difference (either positive or negative) on the BMW if you get another opportunity to detail it. It is hard to compare pics of finish ranges of different colors using various combinations. Black will always seem deeper because it is the most reflective of all colors. Black will reflect with almost any media, but RANGE can be compared with almost any color. Thus you should be able to tell which combo produces a deeper range of reflection (perception of proximity of images near and/or far). Its not very easy by pics, but I was curious to see if you had noticed any differences between the ocw and just the bare Concourso. Clarity can also be judged between different colors and media as well.

lbls1 the OCW didnt really seem to do much, perhaps added a little more gloss but it's hard to tell



what i did notice today though. Last night was my first trip in the rain, and there are very minor water spots on my bonnet only (obviously from the engine heat) that didnt wash away fully with a DP 4in1 wash
 
Hmmm I think I'm stumped there. Usually my pure wax finishes will hold up to rain and heat oxidation. You may have been caught in an acid rain storm. Its possible, but remote. Keep observing b4 blaming the ocw.

possibly acid rain, it hasnt rained here for weeks so it was very dirty



im going to try using the swissol QD and see what that does
