M105 w/ Rotary Technique

I just bought the new version M105 and want to try it but it will be my first time with a non-diminishing abrasive compound.

After a search, seems as if most are using M105/M205 with PC's(KBM method). I have a PC but I prefer to use the Rotary.

Can anybody give some procedures and tips for M105 use with a rotary?

I have as far as compounding/cutting:

Makita compounding wool pad

7.5in LC green curved

6.5in LC orange CCS

6.5in LC white CCS

Works fast and dries fast. I was alarmed at first at how quickly this product dries but I found that I didn't need to work it nearly as long as I was accustomed to working conventional polishes. I find a lighter touch is desirable, especially as you finish. I use regular polishing and finishing foam.

Use a lot more product than you're used too and at lower rpm's.

I pretty much saturate the wool fibers starting at 800 > 1200 > 800 or so.

VERY effective on fresh clear; removes 1500/2000 in almost 1 pass,

with moderate initial pressure (if any). It took a while to adjust and

i didn't like at first (old formula)...

Then i follow up with either M205 or Intensive Polish with CCS white.

Then finish with Ultrafina and/or Final Polish with CCS black.

why the need for ultrafina after the 205? I thought 205 left a pretty flawless finish already

It does, depending on the paint and method used. 205 finishes out really well on hard paints. UF, OTOH, finishes out incredibly well on all paints. It just doesn't have the correcting ability of 205.
