Finally got my Shmitt GS as well as a bottle of awaited M105! Ryanflemington on here also got his UDM, with a bunch of pads, and the XMT polish kit so we went to work on our cars. I had never actually polished the right side of my car until today.

A couple before shots of my paint.

The good stuff!

After one pass of 105 with an LC white CCS polishing pad via rotary!!

Went to work on the rest of the side of the car, did 105 with wool, then finished up with 105 on LC white CCS, then RMG and S100, few shots of the results.

I'm totally sold on this stuff! Short working time for sure and gums up if not used properly, but adding a tad of OP into the mixture seems to increase work time well enough.

Couple shots of Ryans paint.

Goin to work with the UDM + XMT #2 and #1

After shot - XMT #2 then #1 on an orange LC pad, and white LC pad respectively, then the XMT glaze applied via a black LC finishing pad

After - M105 on an orange LC pad twice, the 2nd time cut 50/50 with Optimum Polish

Looks perfect!

Few questions:

1. what camera did you use to take the photos?

2. in the first after shot, one right below the Meg's bottle, where you used 105 and white CCS, how long did you polish an area at what speed, and how big was the area approximately?

3. in the 2nd to last photo, with hood after shot and 105 and orange CCS, same question as #2? Also, rotary or PC?

4. What wool pad(s) did you use on the side of the car with 105?

I'm asking as I just ordered some 105 and want to hear all opinions from users that I can...

Thanks

Black ice sucks! I think the stock vert wheels would be awsome if they were bigger than

15". I have a set in my storage shed in really good shape.

1. Canon 30D with a Sigma 17-70mm f/2.8-4.5 lens

2. Probably a 2x1.5' area, polished at 1500rpm, went up and down through the area twice, then left and right through the area and it had already flashed and was dry and almost gone (Gives you an idea of the fast work time)

3. Ryan answered that, it was his work haha

4. I used the wool pad that came with the Makita...yes don't hit me please! I'm currently looking around to see what wool pads would be best for me to order.

Did you find the working time with 105 and the UDM was longer than the rotary?

Meguiars 105 with a random orbital might be a good combo for medium swirl removal and it may finish nearly LSP ready due to the lack of holograms.

How did you compare the cut of 105 and various pads to say menzerna or poorboys products? It would be good to hear your opinion.
