Lunch/dinner thread.

It needs to live on! I`ll happily take a pic and post up my next memorable meal.

There is a thread on another forum I frequent which was started by a well loved member nearly 15 years ago. He passed away 4-ish years ago but it`s still going. This should live on in the same way.

Decided to honor Ron and take a pic of my dinner at Outback. Nothing fancy but their seared ahi is like a menu gem

Yes, he would approve this one, we both a few times been to the Outback together and Ron always got a steak or ribs.

Went to Canada for the weekend and had a Ron quality meal so thought I’d post. Went to a Japanese BBQ and got all the meats with some seared tuna, scallops and shrimps. Was amazing.

This thread needs a reboot

Salmon and Perry`s lunch pork chop (they said a slab of bacon but I think that`s a hunk of ham)

Very nice to see members keeping Ron’s old thread alive. He loved to tell you about what he was eating. Now having said that Brandt, I’m not sure what to tell you about that white and green stuff under that Salmon. Those are two veggies I just can’t do.

I could never take a picture of my food and not think of Ron.

As far as the veggies...A few years ago I would not have been eating them.

True confession time here - for years I thought I didn`t like steak. My dad is a man of many talents but grilling is not one of them lol so everything I ever had from the grill growing up was burned on the outside, still frozen on the inside, and tasted like lighter fluid.

For our first anniversary I bought my husband just a plain old standard Weber kettle grill and found out what steak is really supposed to taste like. ;) I guess he did all right, we`ll be celebrating 20 years next week.

For the grilling fans here, I bought my husband an electric charcoal lighter for Christmas and he loves it. No lighter fluid needed, it just blows really hot air. :o
