Lunch/dinner thread.

Dinner last night, just forgot to take pictures of the final product - It was actually pretty good tasting despite preconceived feelings many people have for the stuff without ever trying it.

I've eaten Haggis, The gentleman Scott that I was with said it was some of the best he'd ever eaten. I now believe all Scotts to be lying pot lickers. :)

This said, I don't like liver and onions either. If you're the type that doesn't appreciate dense, organ, irony flavor, type meat, this isn't the dish for you.

what the heck is haggis? never mind...

One of my most interesting but very good tasting dishes I had while on my honeymoon last June - Caramel Popcorn Foam

Gotta love molecular gastronomy!

Anyone got a good recipe for Lasagna? The wifey is going away and I'll need to feed myself, if I can make a tray of Lasagna, I'll be a happy fellow.

Your pictures are just too good.

It sure would be nice to be able to get fresh fish, a lobster like the one pictured or king crab here in Utah. When it comes to fish we're pretty much limited to mountain trout (german brown, Utah native cut throat and rainbow, all are good) or catfish.

I'm still waiting for Ron to overnight me one of those fresh seafood on ice coolers. There is no person I would trust any more than him to pick it out. From the pictures he's posted, it's obvious he has good taste and an eye for first rate table fare. ;)

Back to reality, I did get lucky and have my work ship me some Omaha steaks like this for Christmas once. I remember them as being pretty decent. Beef isn't a problem here, seafood is a completely different story. :)
