Lucas Slick Mist

xfire ...neither.... slk55 AMG w/performance package. Essentially the Formula 1 pace car from year 2005

Performance package on an AMG??? PM me with the details as I don't want to go off-topic on the thread. Interesting! Great car by the way, especially in the sound department. The only really "performance-oriented" package that I am aware of outside the standard-issue SLK55 is the SLK55 Black Edition. And, yeah, I pretty much got the sense it was an AMG after seeing the skirts and bigger front-end air dams.

I have tried and been using the slick mist for a short period of time here is some of the things i have noticed...

1 Sprayer is a little to be desired not an even pattern.

2 It leaves one of the slickest finishes that i have felt,

including just recently applying it in 98deg weather...

3 it takes very little to apply to a panel...

4 I DO NOT SEE any difference in the shine on my car or my wifes car:think:

(so much for gloss enhancer)

5 It does not last very long couple days max. unless it rains then its dead,

need to reapply then...

But other than that great product with very slick results...

To be fair:

I've used slick mist and found it's really hard to buff off and leaves streaks.

You're being a bit bias though using poly charger don't you think?

Anyways, it's a good product for what it's worth I guess. It's available OTC which is good because compared to other OTC stuff, this I think is one of the better ones.

Alot of people mention a super-slick finish from using the Lucas product. That's the reason why I bought it, but I don't notice anything near "slick" using this product. Am I supposed to wait for the product to set to actually judge the product as "slick," or is it supposed to be instantly slick the second the product is removed from the surface with a towel??

just found a huge stash at orscheln farm and home, so they carry it for sure. tried it out today and like it so far it's easy to use, no streaks for me, and smells good kind of it's a weird smell kind of minty. way easier to use than cg synthetic qd(I love cg products but hate that)

It's on sale every few weeks at Part Source I bought two bottles for $10 last month but haven't tired it yet. After reading this thread I think I'll have to give it a shot.

$10!? I only spent $6

Yes, Lucas Slick Mist is hard to find. I stumbled on it at a Truck Stop in Ohio. I purchased a bottle to see how it would work on my 2008 Kenworth semi. Oh man, what a difference!!! The Lucas brought out the metallic sparkle and the rig now looks like it just rolled out of the showroom floor!

My wife used it on our 1999 Durango and boy does that ever shine! I'm on the search for more of this wonderful product!

After using half a bottle i found no problem with streaking, some smearing on windows if not wiped twice. I also found very little improvement in slickness or shine. I don't use it for durability so don't know.

I use it on stainless steel trim and panels on my semi.....removes all the water spots and when the trim gets wet the water beads and rolls right off...and every following wipedown...it just gets easier and easier
