What type of lubricant do you use for things like car door hinges and gas filler door hinge ? Thank you for any help/suggestions.

I use different stuff (on the extremely rare occasions I lube *any* hinges..like, not yet this century..) but when I do, I too use a needlepoint applicator. One problem with aerosols is that they`re difficult to control when you just need a very small amount, precisely placed. Drips or runs get annoying after you just finished cleaning the jambs. I keep a small bottle of 90W gear oil on my cart with a needlepoint applicator. It penetrates into the pivot areas, hangs around for a long time and doesn`t drip or run if sparingly applied.Bill
You`re certainly welcome, though I question just how helpful I really was...this is just something I haven`t had to deal with much, and/but I *do* deal with keeping my hinges well-Detailed and I`d hate to mess that up by lubing them the wrong way.Accumulator- Thank you for the help.
