LSP for garage queen in lieu of Souveran?

I have a couple of garage queens I take to local shows and cruise on nice days. I became a big fan of Pinnacle Souveran as my LSP for the show/driving season after it was recommended by the seller of my original, low mileage black `61 Fleetwood with original lacquer paint. My routine is to do a serous detail in the Spring , and then put a new coat of Souveran on every couple of months, using Pinnacle Crystal Mist between waxing to remove dust and keep the shine. I also started using Souveran on my Champagne (dark goldish) metallic `60 Eldorado (repainted a few years back with modern 2 stage paint0. Now it`s time for a new coat of wax for the Eldo with a show coming, and Souveran is out of stock. I`d like recommendations for another LSP for the Eldorado. In particular, while I know Souveran is particularly recommended for dark colors, is there something comparable that might be better for the lighter paint?

Sevallian:
I would highly suggest Collinite`s No. 915 Marque D`Elegance Paste Wax as a suitable, and (much) less expensive, alternative to Pinnacle`s Souveran. It is a wax-on-wax-off (WOWO), last a lot longer Souveran, BUT it may be hard to find; try Sky`s The Limit website

One suggestion to still finding and purchasing Sourveran is to look at Craig`s List , E-Bay,or other social media buy-and-sell sites. Waxes have kinda fallen out of passe with many detailer since coatings are the dominant Last-Step-Product (LSP) these days. That said, SOMEONE out there may have a stash of Souveran or other high-end wax in their possession that may be sitting in the back of a wine refrigerator (Yes, high-end waxes are refrigerated by those who know it helps to preserve them and want to keep them for a while).
When I speak of high-end waxes I think of:
Blackfire BlackICE Montan Hybrid Sealant Wax
Wolfgang Fuzion
ANY Zymol paste wax (not the Over-The-Counter consumer version, however)
Chemical Guy`s J-97 Paste Wax (yeah, it cost $999.00 and I have NO idea who would have bought it or admit they bought it)
ANY Swissvax paste wax
No-longer-made Merlin`s Enchanted Concourse Wax
Polish Angel`s Carnauba Creations Paste Waxes

Ask around and let us know what you find and then use on your garage queens.

Doesn`t look out of stock to me: Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax 3 oz. Mini

EDIT: Oh, I see what you`re saying, the 8oz is out of stock. Given that the 3oz is $60, and the 8oz is $70, I wouldn`t hold my breath waiting for the 8oz to come back. (I mean I don`t think it`s coming back)

Um...what I`m trying to say is...if that was always the pricing, no one ever would have bought the 3 oz. So I`m presuming the 8oz has been out of stock forever, and that`s an old price. And if it`s been out of stock forever, the likelihood of it coming back is pretty low.

Wow! I had no idea these waxes were falling by the wayside. I spend a lot of time keeping my cars pretty, but I`m pretty set in my regimens, and am not on here that often except when I have specific questions. The advice I`d gotten from several sources awhile back (including from @Accumulator here) was to stay old school on the garage queens instead of going ceramic. But that`s going to be increasingly difficult. For now, I might try the Collinite or bite the bullet for the coming show and get the 3 oz.

I still use and love Souveran and Fuzion and wow, I better start getting the 3oz too and jump on any8 oz that comes up, I guess nothing lasts forever. I don’t know why a Souveran, Fuzion coating was never made. Same great look with all the features of the coating. Can’t be that hard to make

It`s kind of surprising, since Souveran was kind of the "signature" product of PBMG. Maybe I`m wrong, the Fuzion pricing is $60 and $75, and the 3oz is on sale right now for $48.

I think Souveran had it`s place on older black paints but Zymol Carbon was better in just about every way. Chemical guys 50/50 is outstanding if you can find it.

Collinite 915 looks like it`s pretty easy to find. I might try that on the Eldo, although I need to wipe it down with QD and see how much shine is still present before I muster the energy for another coat of wax. Waxing that much sheetmetal is a significant commitment of time and energy.

I was a huge Pinnacle Souveran fan back in the day and still occasionally use it on a garage queen but I switched to Polish Angel Cosmic V2, Cosmic Spritz or High Gloss depending on the color on my garage queens.

I just really find Souveran and Crystal Mist to be my all time favorite detailing products even if they are impractical and passé. I love the experience from them.

I WOULD have suggested contacting Pinnacle car-car directly at info@Pinnaclewax.com
BUT now I see that their address is 17414 Tiller Ct. Westfield, IN 46074
SO I assume this is the new Autogeek fulfillment center
and we Autopians all know about the falderal associated with this fiasco:

By the way, the Pinnacle website also has the 8-ounce size of Souveran listed as SOLD OUT
No wonder you are looking for an alternative!

That`s the address for Sonax USA. Hopefully for the Souveran fans they let some of the stock run down so they didn`t have to move it from the Texas fulfillment center.

Yes, I had already been to the Pinnacle site in my search. It looks like all they have is the "Series II" paste wax, but nobody seems very excited about it. I wiped he car down this week for a casual display, not really a show, but a corporate event where my local club was invited to display our cars at the entrance, and the last coat of Souveran, applied just prior to a July 4 parade ,seems to be holding up pretty well; its been garaged and usually covered during the interim except for a couple of "exercise" drives, so I think I`ll leave it alone for the show this week and wait until October or so to freshen the wax. While the driving season is year round here, the show season pretty much wraps up by Halloween.

So when I had looked up the address for Sonax, which was mentioned above, the Google street view showed a different company there. I just went back and those images were from 2019, and the company pictured has a different address now. So that means Sonax USA moved to that location well after the acquisition of PBMG, and maybe specifically to house the PBMG products.

I`d use Crystal MIist to maintain the Souveran but that`s probably hard to get too

I went to look in the store, and at Autogeek, both sizes of Crystal Mist are in stock (16 oz and 1 gal). However, before I went to AG, I clicked on the store link here at Autopia, and got this message:

[h=1]Down for Maintenance[/h]We’re thrilled to announce that Autopia Car Care has merged with Autogeek! This merger brings together two leading names in car care, combining our expertise and extensive range of products to better serve you. You can now shop all your favorite Autopia products on the Autogeek website, where you`ll find the same great selection, fantastic deals, and exceptional service you’ve come to expect. Head over to Autogeek today to explore the expanded range of car care products and accessories!

I`d call that a concerning development for the continuing availability of this forum. (If I`m not being clear enough, the Autopia store is no longer there: https://www.autopia-carcare.com/ )

However, it could be good news about PBMG in general, it may be that they have decided on a path forward, doing their own warehousing/fulfillment, and streamlining the online stores. Also possible they are simply redoing the Autopia store to coincide with bringing the fulfillment in-house.

I use Adam`s Americana paste wax for show cars and garage queens. Also recommend checking out Poorboy`s World Natty`s paste wax.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I`ll look into them in the coming weeks. As for the show I have this weekend, I think I`m good as is. I have a small amount of Souveran left, and I did a small test spot, and then took the car out in the sun and could not see any difference between that spot and the adjacent paint, which had been wiped with Crystal Mist the week before. So I spent today doing other fun stuff for the show, like cleaning the whitewalls, a rather tedious task because it requires removing the fender skirts, and then taping plastic over the finned wheel covers to keep water (and water spots) off them when cleaning the whitewalls, which go right up to the rim. Yes, I could just remove them, but they are fragile, prone to falling off if not installed exactly right, and very pricey to replace, so I try to leave them alone as much as possible.
