Lowes pro line easygrip?

Someone please tell me the proline "easygrip" sponges are the ones everyone uses. (aka grout sponge) I saw a pic on here with the package reading grout and tile. The ones I picked up said easy grip. These were the only ones I saw in the tile section at lowes. Picked up 10 of them.

Completely agreed. The easy-grip ones don't hold nearly as much water, and I really didn't like them at all. I only bought 3 at the time, which I saved for wheel duty. But the next time they had the square ones in stock, I bought every one they had (about 20).



This is the one you want. At worst, buy them online from Lowes.

Exactly, I bought the 3 in the first box, then the entire box behind it. The lady was like, you need all these????

LOL all those sponges still won't help you wipe away ugly, Doesn't a sponge hurt on that zipperhead face? :thx
 
This is the best kept secret on earth. I tried all the megs wash mitts and what not and Lowes grout spongs seem to be the only thing that won't screw up the paint on the vehicles I work on.

Ok, so I went back to lowes and exchanged my easy grips for the tile and grout sponges. Right away I noticed the T&G sponges are much softer.

Picked up a few more too!

The two orange ones are identical in color and seem to have the same exact texture too. I havent used them yet, but purely by the unofficial squeeze/touch test, the above are my results. I got all 3 of them from lowes.
 
one thing to consider is when they are wet and have wash solution on them which makes them even softer. i prefer the lowes GS out of all the ones i've tried as they are the softest and very pliable. the HD GS (ask Spoiledman if he likes them :D ) works well too and if you decide to purchase one from there, get the superiorbilt brand...
 
I know people love the GS but I can't bring myself to use one. They're too flat with no nap (like a sheepskin mitt). That just seems like you're asking to get fine scratches from washing.

that's what i thought until i convinced myself to use one. the lowes GS has lots of small pores so it will help bury debris into itself and releases very easy in the rinse bucket or when you hose it off. to each his own or her own, like i've said before, they are not for everyone and as long as whatever you use causes no harm/ damage, that's all that matters...
 
I've been using the GSs pretty much since they've been mentioned on here. I love them. I prefer the HD ones, but I might try the Lowes one again. The Lowes one didn't last as long -- because it was too soft/loose and eventually came apart. The HD ones are much more dense, and last longer for me.

For a couple bucks, just replace as needed.
