I just purchased some glass cleaner from a local chemical rep. It is maguriers d-120 . It works great with a 1:10 delution ratio you cant beat the price. I was a stoner fan and they still do make a great product but i think for the money you cant beat megs in this product .
Over the years I've used just about every glass cleaner known to man. Somewhere about the late 90's I picked up some Stoner's Invisible Glass cleaner and once I tried it Stoner's was to be "the" class cleaner I would use for the rest of my life.....that's until I picked up a Gallon of Meguiar's D120 glass cleaner concentrate.
To describe the glass cleanliness after using this product I'd choose the word shocking, it's simply that good!
Meguiar's D120 glass cleaner concentrate is cheap money. I used the word cheap because my definition of cheap is less than inexpensive.
Consider the average cost for Stoner's glass cleaner is $4.50 for 22 ounces and Meguiar's Glass cleaner is $20.00 for 1,280 ounces, once diluted, it breaks down like this.
Stoner's - $0.20 / ounce
Meguiar's - $0.015 / ounce
If your goal is to have clean, streak free glass then here's what you'll need:
Don't limit yourself to automotive glass. Mix up a couple of extra bottles and keep it in the house as well. What ever they use in the formulation works great on counters, mirrors, windows, microwave, or any shinny surface...
- Meguiar's D120 glass cleaner concentrate.
- 2 Waffle Weave microfiber glass towels..
- 1 to wash
- 1 to Dry
No offense but you math is a little off. A gallon is 128 ounces making the D120 $0.15625 per ounce. I understand that one might be better than the other but price should not be a deciding factor in this situation. :lmfao
I have been eying this up for awhile now. I have talked the wife into buying it as we can then use this around the house as well and be much more cost effective.
