Losing the way!

The biggest problem we have in his country is hat the person who would do the best job as president does not want the job. The media, social media and general public are too quick to pry into someone private life. I am so over any candidates personal issues. I am concerned with your political views and plans for this country.

We have a lot of fixing to do and it's going to take a president that can surround himself with the right people, for each job that has a track record of success ( nobody is perfect) but someone that can get stuff done. I'd like a president who spends my tax money like its his and looks to give the people of the usa a good vAlue for what they pay for in taxes. I'd like the president to butt out of my healthcare it has only cost me more for less so far and focus on making America safer and stronger during his term. I'd like to see us lead the free world in a direction that hunts down terrorists wherever and who ever they are and remove them and their associates from the face of the earth. We can do it and I'd like to see it hAppen. I promise you if we don't begin the stamping out process it will only get worse.
This X a million, well said

The problem is this is not how our legislative process is designed to work. President Obama won twice (so much for a mandate), he proposed budgets, and Congress mostly ignored them after the GOP took over the House. Per the Origination Clause in the Constitution, the House (so Boehner was the leader over the last years) initiates spending bills. Now Paul Ryan has that role. Under Boehner, bills usually do not make it easily to the floor without the speaker's consent so that is why we do not have an immigration bill, balanced budget bill where they identify what they will cut, etc but plenty of bills to get rid of Obamacare.

If the House leader, Senate leader, and the President are not working together, it is what we have today. There is fault on both sides.

This is why I think Newt's Contract with America idea was interesting. They promised certain goals if elected and promptly voted for a number of them. In today's process, no elected person is obligated to vote for anything. That is why everyone can promise anything.

Bunky,

Those Sound Bites are interesting, but have little to do with the real world that our current over regulated Nanny State requires businesses operate in

Unpassed budgets brought to us by the person who promised us lower insurance premiums... and that I could keep my policy and doctor...

Al if we had a president he'll bent on stamping out terrorism and the bill or motion was delayed of filabistrred we deserve to riot on the streets. I bet it would not happen. We need to unite the country to work together on common interests and then the rest will follow.

I'm not politically savy enough to figure it out but in my own business we do a good job getting things accomplished because I clearly demonstrate how working together toward a common goal will enrich everyone. There is a way for that to happen in our government. There should be not free lunch. There wasn't one until 8 years ago. Now there's a segment that is upset they might lose it. Lower taxes are great but at what cost. What burns me up is paying through the nose and getting less in return.

I agree with some your frustration. you but there are too many political agendas in Congress for everyone to usually agree. They do agree when they agree to hate someone else. The problem is just not the supposed free loaders but corporate welfare (military is a large part of this).

For example, if the Republicans really had the answer they could pass a bill that addresses the budget despite the Democrat votes. If the Democrats had control of the House they could do the same thing. They are both dodging the issue although Dems are more willing to raise taxes.

This could be the election issue rather than all these vague promises on cutting taxes. The problem is they do not know how to cut $550 billion (every social program) to just BALANCE the budget without getting voted out of office. Even if you did this, taxes could still not go down without additional spending cuts. Also, the reality is if you took $500 billion out of the economy instantly you would see an instant recession.

two of the biggest ways people in this country debate on issues. we can't just have a discussion of substance and actual progress because everyone is too focused on bringing up things that had nothing to do with the argument at hand.

i think we are in for some real change this election if our frontrunners end up being jokes. i dont know what im going to do if it ends up being Trump and Clinton that get the noms. I have a feeling in 50 years this is going to be something our country looks back at as an example of when things started to change for the better(or at least I hope so)

Heisenberg ---------

This is so true, thank you for pointing this out ---

Another thing I am so tired of hearing - is shouting out things that happened years/decades ago.... :(

Can't anyone repent of their actions, make restitution, seek forgiveness, and move on and away from bad behavior ?

It's like stuff you heard on the school ground when you were like 8-10 years old or something - cut this out guys !
How would we ever be able to know what is truth and what is not ?
I don't even care...

I want to look that person in the eye and determine myself what I feel from him/her coming back to me..
Not listen to the rhetoric as much as listen to their spirit... That will Always be the truth - the true person...

I also would love to hear about what has been happening in the more recent time, than old dirty laundry... Ugh...

God help us get through this mess; and when we humbly call on you on our knees, please send the Comforter to strengthen us and help us see more clearly what is best for our families and our country...

Two of Trump's children cannot vote for him in the NY primary because they did not change parties in time since NY has a closed primary.

Hmmm.
