Looking to go to Racing/Driving school; need opinions!

I will be graduating from college this year and more than anything else, I want to go to racing/driving school for my graduation present. I have wanted it since I got to school. My dad will be accompanying me as well as some friends.

The main thing we are looking for is to become 'expert' road drivers (ie: manuevering) and good racers. Most places offer one or the other so we toyed with the idea of 2-days manuevers, 2 days racing, or whatever. Here's what we have looked at:

Right now we are open to any advice. We know the big names are Skip Barber and Bob Bondurant. If you have any experience, advice, or other info to give, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

uncle of mine has gone to the skip barber and has also gone to the bmw road school they have.

when i got my 330i i mentioned to him how bmw has this and he says that its good but from what u pay for, its no better than skip barber school. he says skip barber actually offers more at a more reaosnable price where as the bmw school is overpriced.

so this isnt a general answer but atleast it gives some good feedback on skip barber school.

I've had a few friends go to the mid-ohio school and they loved it. They focus more on road racing technique because of their course layout. The schools you listed are great, they're also way more expensive and focus more on open wheel type racing. It all depends on what kind of racing you want to get in while you're there, you'll learn how to read the lines anywhere.

I live about 3 miles from the bondurant track. I have been to there superkart school and it was great. I also have a few friends that like me love go fast toys and have been to the 3 day advanced road racing course and had nothing but the best experiance. I plan to take the 3 day ARR course in a year or so and highly recomend bondurant. Just my 2 cents!

Either way have fun youll love it!
