Looking For SouthEast Detailing Mentors

Like I have said, I am amazed at the expertise on this site. I am also amazed at how little I know.

I am looking to learn as much about the proper car detailing regimen as I can. I have been one of those types of people who learn best by doing it, and accumulating knowledge with experience. I need to master techniques, prep work, and I would eventually like to graduate with confidence on the PC, and maybe even, gasp, a black car.

My neighbors have seen how tidy all of my cars are, and they all want me to clean up their cars. I'm certainly hesitant about it, for fear I might screw up their paint or something.

I am pretty new to the forum, so I don't know if you have a regional or national "how to" seminar, contest, or something like that. If there are any detailers who would like to take on a protege for a challenging detail job, just let me know.

I am in the middle Tennessee area, and if you had an all Saturday kind of job in the works I would love to help, and to learn.

I'd be willing to drive a reasonable distance, so kick that around and let me know.

thanks for that link, and I will do what I can to get there. That's not too far of a drive, and my new M is jumping to take a roadtrip.

hey i am also located in nashville,tn and i am ordering a whole lot detailing supplies to detail my car. I was detailing cars for a honda dealership for 3 years. Im willing to teach you some stuff and take on the protege you have.

thanks for the reply BigBen.

Tentatively I am trying to get to Atlanta for the Sunday meet as posted by WS6.

Glad to help out if you are getting a project underway, so just let me know the skinny.
