Looking for some different Paste Waxes

I have the following:

Souveran Paste

DP's MaxWax

PB's NB

Now BESIDES, Collinite, Pb's Megs 16, what are some decent paste waxes that won't break the bank besides Zymol?

If you have a suggestion, great, if you can, let me know what the paste works best on (I.E. metalic, dark, light, all, etc.)

I use S100, which can be found at a Harley dealer near you, on all of my cars (all dark). Goes on and comes off great! Exactly the same but half the price of P21S paste wax.

REVIEW (4 out of 5 stars)

Out of those three 50/50 is my choice.

The 3M Showcar paste got changed...probably lasts longer now but I'd also expect it won't have quite the same "shimmer".

Maybe I missed it, but I don't think anyone mentioned Blitz. Keep it off black trim. I think of this as a "solid color" wax...especially for single stage.

50:50 is great on darks and metallics - and it seems to capture a great range of color in reflections - something that I've only seen out of it and the Zymol line.

FK1 Pink for lights (it is a *real* winner on white and green).

P21S is great, but I never seem to find myself reaching for it - if I want to use a wax with great looks and questionable durability, I reach for Souveran.

Silk - if you are gonna buy from TOL, consider Trade Secret. I've heard great things about it - never heard any buzz about Pizzaz.

I know I'm in the VAST minority here, but now that I've figured out how to use them, I actually really like Griot's Best of Show and Carnauba Waxes. The Carnauba Wax is the paste wax and I find it to be quite nice and easier to work with than BoS.

I also like Pinnacle Signature Series II... haven't seen it listed here yet.

I, too, am a fan of Pink Wax, although there are several waxes that were mentioned that I've never tried before. I like the packaging of PW as well--kinda old-school, 1950's style, need a screwdriver to open it. The can is big, so should last a while.

NB and PW are very similar in appearance I think--"blingy" but still with some good depth.

One Grand Blitz is still one of my favorites, and isn't pricey at all for what you get.

+1.

It's an unparalleled value! Great big ol' tin for short $$$. It's been labeled the Heavy Duty carnauba...and for good reason!

LOL, I luv it! :woot: Seriously, I can think of a few more to add to that short list.

mighty, do you have thoughts about CG's 5050 longevity. I've got some on my white car (over AJT) and it appears to be doing very well. Beading is insane. OTOH, it seems like a product in search of a dark car, not a white one

Thx.

Souveran sig II works great on all colors as well as metallics and looks fantastic

if you want a wax that "doesn't break the bank" give CG's XXX Hardcore a try one of my fave cheap waxes and you wont be disappointed with it

very deep reflections
