Looking for some car wsh, any suggestions?

zesty-man

how do ya like it?
well, ive begun to run low on my gold class car wash, and i was looking to try something different this time? any suggestions? i was thinking of trying the wolfgang wash.

question: wolfgang wash = wolfgang auto bathe?

I found these BMW Autowash few months ago and have dumped autoglym car shampoo for them. Great wash that leaves my car glossy.

hmmm, maybe ill try that one out. a lot of you seem to be posting on it.

i notice that it comes with a one gallon refill. can i just buy the one gallon refill, or do i have to buy both. i just wanna get lots, so i wont have to costantly order, and waste money :)

I have the regular 4* wash too but haven't used it yet. It is supposed to be a bit stronger for dirtier cars, made for pro detailers.

If you want to try the BMW wash out (the one Chee posted)...I have some from the dealer. It's seems very similar to P21s wash.

Otherwise, I use Pinnacle Wash or Wolfgang... 4* ultimate wash is good too...just ran out :)

Hi Chris, have u ever used sonax? The BMW autowash bottle is identical to sonax 1 liter. I suspect it's sonax rather than p21s.
The BMW wash is very sudsy and that's like what I read in sonax review, I also read that p21s does not have much suds.(correct me if I'm wrong). But USD 7 for a liter,it's a bargain

Pinnacle's wash and Detailer's Pride are good washes as well. I use the Pinnacle on my car that is washed often. I use the Detailer's Pride on my wifes car that is only washed about every other week. Both are excellent.

4* Platinum auto wash is the only one I have used (out of Nxt, Eagle one, Wolfgangs and others) that leaves my car feeling slick - I have hard water and the others don't seem to work with it - that and it has the most addictive smell:)

hmmmm... so many options. no one answered my question though...

To answer you question... yes. WG Auto Bathe is WG's car wash.

Excellent product, BTW. Just a bit expensive for my taste.

Just to toss out some ideas in case you want to try different washes, I posted this list (all of which I've tried) on the Autopia forum:

My favorites (best to worst):

1. Wolfgang (best performance/price, pH=7)
2. 1Z Perls (excellent, too expensive)
3. Sonax (excellent, little pricey/hard to find)
4. Zaino Z-7 (reasonably priced)
5. Megs GC (easy to find locally)
6. Eagle One WCW (cheap, sold everywhere)
7. P21S (lots of suds but that doesn't mean much)
8. Megs NXT Wash (cheap, sold everywhere)
9. Griot's (nothing special)
10. Too embarassed to list #10

hmmm, 4 star n ot on that list? or is it number 10... anyways, i was previously using megs GC, and i have to say, it was pretty good, but slightly on the expensive side for me. i think it was 20 bucks, and i went through it in about a couple months. i guess thats what i get for using like 2 buckets for wash, and 1 for rinse. maybe ill try the zaino, but premium auto care doesnt sell it, do they?

I'm lucky I have the 10 that I do on the list. My wife thinks I've got some sort of disorder with so many car washes and not one of them used up yet. :-p

PUPP is on my list to try though.

AFIK, the Zaino store is the only place to get Z-7.

Hi Chee...

The one I have now from my dealer is now labeled as a Mini/BMW wash and it it's green in color. I would say it's repackaged P21s...low suds, but good lubercation. But you're right, the older washes I have tried is similar, if not repackaged Sonax. I recieved a car care kit with my new 7 and it looks pretty much like Sonax stuff. At least the wash and wheel care. :)

aww.... whats the URL of the zaino site?

Tyler...

If you want Zaino stuff, you can't order from the website since there is now a Hawaii distributor. His name is Art, and you can reach him at (808) 487-7467. He's got the entire line and he's not to far from you...

hmmm, ill try give him a call sometime this weekend. a zaino dealer here in hawaii, who would have thought!

If you order 4Star this weekend, you'll get 15% off.
If you want to try NXT you might try Wal-Mart. I've seen it at a couple and they're on clearance for $4.25 a gallon. My guess is that Wal-Mart isn't going forward with the NXT line and all they have left is the wash, so it went on clearance. Again, just a guess from the couple of trips I've made down there.
And finally, If you decide to order a brand from Autogeek, they have a 15% sale till the end of May too. They also say free shipping on orders over $75.00(i think), but I'm not sure if it's only for the 48 states or all locations.
