looking for microfiber wash mitt

I use the MF mitts (from MicroFiberTech) for a final pass, after I've already removed the potentially abrasive dirt via other, more free-rinsing, means.

I always find it just a little odd that people use their not-good-enough mitts/etc. on their wheels. I don't mind using subpar materials on *some* wheels (namely ones I don't really care about), but I sure don't want any marring, not even any micromarring, on my good wheels, and some of the stuff you clean off wheels can be mighty abrasive :nixweiss

TruZoom- I think you'd find MF behaves very differently from your grout sponge with regard to being free-rinsing. I've had some awful struggles picking bits of [stuff] out of MF. Seems like it's always the same kind of stuff that'd mar paint too. The MF really grabs hold of some kinds of contamination.

95zder-The problems with chenille (assuming it's 100% cotton) and, well, most any natural or MF wash media isn't so much that it'll scratch paint, the marring comes from the dirt. Once you get a mitt/cloth/BHB soaking wet with shampoo solution, it's almost *always* soft enough to use on automotive paint. If I'm careful enough, I can even wash my Jag's soft lacquer with a BHB without marring it, and a BHB is about as coarse a thing as I'd ever touch paint with.

Yeah, and there's nothing worse than having to hand polish marring out of wheel spoke/rim shapes :faint: ...not sure about the Flitz/Powerball helping tho.

Yes, I have some Microtex towels (wheel wells) with leaf stuff in them that will NOT come out, but the MF on the Meg's Pad, The Bone, and the stuff that was linked at SMP appears to be a bit different. I won't argue at all that it may hold more debris/particles than sheepskin or boar's hair, but it definitely seems to hold less than normal MF. Whether that's good enough comes down to preference and circumstances. I haven't thrown out any of my other wash mitts/pads yet :)

OK, that *is* a significant difference. IMO *nothing* rinses as free as BH so it's really not even fair to compare MF to it ;)

Well, truth be told, I've always been a chenille wash pad guy (well, a cellulose sponge guy before that, but we won't go there :o ), and I can never get used to mitts. For now, the Meg's QD pad seems to be working well, but I haven't used it a ton, and I'm keeping an open mind to liking it less...
