Looking for exclusive cars

Here in Antwerp (Belgium) we have an exclusive car-club (www.engineroom.be) where people can stall their (very-very) expensive cars.

The place is completely secured, special treatment for cars and so on..



Now I want to show them how good a car can look, because last week, I saw a Ferrari 550 coming out with the most horrible swirls I ever saw on a black car !!!.



Problem is, they have their own "detailers", (read that as two guys with a bucket, sponge and towel, a cheap wax and old T-shirts...)



How can I enter this one ?
 
Print a photo of close ups of swirls on high quality paper as BEFORE and your work of knocking out swirls on the same car as AFTER and a whole body shot ?
 
I don't have an organized plan to suggest but I have some random thoughts:



These people obviously cherish their "exclusive" status. I doubt they'd be interested in talking to "just anybody" walking in the door. I would suggest approaching them in the most professional and respectful manner imaginable, providing a portfolio of your work and having references they can contact.



Obviously, an introduction by a member would be ideal. Any chance at all one of your current customers is a member?



In any conversation always be highly attentive to their needs, wants, desires and opinions. Always reinforce that your role is to help them achieve the club's and members' goals.



If the "two guys with a bucket" are paid employees of the club the management may be very interested reassigning them to other duties and taking a percentage of your action instead of paying them to "detail". (This might make you unpopular with the "two guys".)



If the "two guys with a bucket" are outside vendors your high quality, service oriented attitude combined with a reasonable percentage of profit for the club should be appealing. (This would make you very unpopular with the "two guys".)



On the other hand, if the "two guys with a bucket" are the manager's brothers it may be a hard sell.



The club appears to organize "events of interest" for their members (at least it looks to me like they do, I can't read Flemish). Perhaps you could present a free seminar on the subject of top quality car care.



Oh, and no matter how stupid or incompetent the "two guys" are, never say anything bad about them in front of the management or members. That would be unprofessional.

what he said!.. . and when you start working on these (exotic?!) cars, carry a bottle of Tums while dealing with the owners as they can sometimes be very stressful.



Be confident, articulate, educated (in regards to your profession), and pertinent to their requests. in other words OWN IT!
