Looking for an interior cleaner recommendation

I use Optimum Protectant Plus for protection of leather and vinyl. I just use a microfiber towel dampened with water now. I am looking for a spray on cleaner to clean light dust on leather and vinyl. I am looking at Blackfire Interior Cleaner http://www.autogeek.net/blackfire-interior-cleaner.html (no <span style="color:#000000;">acids, butyl and butyl ethers) , Chemical Guys InnerClean http://www.chemicalguys.com/Chemical_Guys_SPI_663_16_InnerClean_p/spi_663_16.htm and <span style="color:#000000;">Einszett Cockpit Premium http://www.autogeek.net/1z-einzett-cockpit-premium.html (I don’t think the Einszett is for use on leather.


<span style="font-size:12pt;font-family:'times new roman', serif;color:#000000;">Are any of you guys using these? If not, feel free to recommend something else.

kajunman- I *really* like that 1Z Cockpit Premium for (very) lightly soiled/"merely dusty" interiors!  I go back and forth between that and Mequiar's Interior QD and I don't think you'd go wrong with either of them.  Haven't tried the BF or the Chemical Guys stuff though.


 


Weirdest thing about the 1Z and the Meg's IQD IME is how long those little bottles last!  I only use them for light dusting jobs, and I just use a little spritz on my MF, but still...
 
I'd suggest HD Total concentrate.  It does exactly what you are asking for and has a pleasant, light odor and is most cost-effective.


 


I also own the Optimum product you mention and certainly have used the 1Z Cockpit Premium.  Two very good products.
 
ONR with power clean as needed.

Since I already have these around,

it allows me to wash and do interior

with the same products.
 
I've used the 3D Total, 1z, Megs, CG's Nonsense, OPP, and others. It's like Coke and Pepsi, I haven't found 1 that doesn't do what they say and or doesn't do a good job, that said, look at the ones you can get and dilute to fit your needs. That would be my suggestion.
 
OP for light cleaning and dusting I still rely on the Woolite solution. For dusting I just mist it in a cheap M/F towel and it acts like a dust magnet. 10:1 ratio for dusting .. 6:1 for a little more cleaning power.

David on another post on Autopia I thought you said that you used HD Total Concentrate straight with no dilution. I think someone else said that they were using HD Total Concentrate by diluting it 10:1. So to clean the leather and vinyl in a car, do you use it straight or dilute it. If you dilute it, what is the correct dilution ratio?

Can someone tell me if HD Total Concentrate should be used straight or diluted for use on coated leather?

kajun - HD Total was recently updated. It went from initially being a RTU (ready to use) to now a concentrate. It is able to be diluted up to 10 to 1 for light duty cleaning for delicate leather and probably 3 or 2 to 1 for heavy degreasing/cleaning. 


 


DO NOT USE STRAIGHT ON LEATHER!!!! For general leather I would go 5 or 6 to 1.
