looking for a rotary

I would agree. I've heard some pretty good things about that Chicago rotary. If you are not going to use a rotary frequently, that may be an excellent choice.

I'd be using it very little. I used to own a B&D 6138 but no longer have it. I couldn't justify spending hundreds on one now but $30-50 to set one up would be fine. Have to get the PC first though as I plan to use that a lot.

I use it daily for a combined running time of about 3hrs./day and it works flawlessly. I will say that personally i never use it, i prefer my dewalt, but my staff has never complained about the $30 machines wih 2 year unlimited warranties!

I have two of the $24.99 Harbor Fright/Chicago Electric rotaries (not the one mentioned above). Considering our recent expansion, I have TWO more on the way...

I think I sorta started the awareness of this product a few years ago - I continue to think that this heavy machine is worthy of a place in my shop, and certainly a home garage!

Be certain to use quality pads and backing plates... throw away the stuff that comes with the CE rotary.

Like tpgsr said, I prefer a different machine (I also have two Fein rotaries...), but the CEs are great workhorses in the shop.
