Looking for a new or used paint thickness gauge

Hey folks, looking for a new or used paint thickness gauge. If any of you pro's have a recommendation for an accurate gauge that won't cost a fortune or maybe have one you'd like to sell, please let me know. Looks like the clear is just about worn on one of my fenders and starting to show the paint layer slightly.

Thanks

Use the search function and you will see a ton of info on PTG. Sorry to put you off, but no need to repeat all the good info already.

Cheers,

GREG

There are tons of low cost ptg's on ebay, but what brand? I don't want to spend $250 for a piece of garbage. Also don't want to spend $750 for an occassional detailing. Of course we've searched the site and only two ptg's are discussed, defelsko and highline. Both are $500+. Any lower cost gauges anybody can recommend with a link? Thanks.

I don't know where you are getting your prices. The Highline is 199.99 right now. Just look at their home page.

From what I read you want one that reads in microns. I'm also in the market for one and would love to hear more feedback on what is out there. Spending $500+ doesn't seem right for a hobbiest.
