looking for a good vinyl protectant

I did some searches and looked at product reviews but was unable to find anything that seemed to get good reviews.

I want something that provides decent protection but doesn't leave an oily film or "armor all shine"

Thanks in advance:xyxthumbs

I love 303 Protectant. It leaves a nice sheen without the oily film like some. Excellent product.:D

303 is da bomb. It lasts a long time and is safe on the vinyls. Plus it is easy to locate in stores or through vendors

I assume you are looking fo an interior product. If so, I have use Poorboy's natural look, 303 an Vinylex on the interior trim. Of the three, Poorboy's provides the BEST matte finish and has great longevity.

For exterior parts I use Raggtopp on the convertible top and exterior vinyl trim. I recently purchased Poorboy's trim restorer but have used it too little to form an opinion. I have used 303 on the exterior parts but gave it up because I could not prevent it from running on the paint when it rained.

There are many quality vinyl protectants you could use. My favorite is Wolfgang, followed by Pinnacle. 303 is my third favorite. The first two I mentioned will provide a nice matte finish without buffing; 303 will have more of a glossy finish unless you buff.

One thing about Cockpit Premium (I also like this product) is that it is more of a quick detailer rather than a protectant. Its UV protection is not as great as Wolfgang, Pinnacle, 303, etc.

mtodde and I have been using Wolfgang Vinyl & Rubber to great effect.

I also use 303. You can't go wrong with either one. Wolfgang has slightly more gloss but still a restrained amount.

You think so? Are you two buffing the surface after application (after letting it sit a bit) or do you apply and walk away?

I am seeing just a very slight amount of gloss compared to CP. Wolfgang is the 2nd most matte product on my dash. It definitely is more matte than satin on my dash. 1Z TP is another great dash product but it is more satin than the Wolfgang.

I apply it and buff five minutes later.

I used CP as a QD for my interior and used the Wolfgang every few weeks to keep the protection.
