I like to use a stiff brush on the tires. You can find a stiff plastic bristle
brush about anywhere cheap. Wheels are a different matter. I want a soft
brush that will not scratch the finish. There are several specialty brushes
for this. Meguairs makes a soft wheel brush. Autogeek is great source for these. I am linking the page from this vendor to the page that contains both type brushes. Look and I think you will find what you want.

I use the Meg's wheel brush and like it alot..very soft tips...does a great job of cleaning the wheels....it is the Versa wheel Brush...and no scratches yet..

I also use the Meg's brushes and love them. They have a large surface area with nice long soft bristles. They work great. I am going to buy the Tire Brush soon myself. I also have there interior stiff bristled brush an i like it a lot also.

I have the Meg's Wheel face brush and like it alot, as well as the torpedo shaped one. Both work vere well. For tire brushes, I prefer the smaller size with stiff bristles. Usually a cheap interior brush. It has to be narrow for getting the bottoms of low profile tires.
