By hand, lake country yellow foam applicator, by machine lake country black pad. Used both poxy and speed in this fashion only poxy marred. Note also that hd cut contains kaolin clay along with aluminum oxide, for more abrasiveness I suppose. Other items that leave marring on my finish are DG 105, Sonus paint cleaner, blackfire paint cleaner, pinnacle paint cleaner to name a few. What I use for marr free finish on my car is Lime prime lite, Hd speed, HD polish, Menz 85rd, sonax paint cleaner and DG 111 and 105(I named these last two as my all in one type of product). So you tell me from what I have listed if you see a pattern. All I can think of is kaolin.

I also have a hard time believing Poxy was marring. It has pretty good fillers, so unless you were really scratching, there would be no way to see any marring you were causing.

Is kaolin abrassive?

Try a test sometime on a non metallic dark colored car, polish a section with hd polish then tape off section in half and apply poxy, remove tape and look at the point where poxy meets hd polish, observe this in direct sunlight and tell me what you see? I have done this a few times on my car on different sections and it is clear as day there is micro-marring on poxy side. Please try this because I am looking for 2nd opinion. I know there is many paint systems out there on todays cars, I just know what it does on my car.

Can you describe what the marring looks like please.

What are you removing Poxy with? Maybe its the towel? :nixweiss

I am removing with a quality microfiber the marring is very fine. Try doing what I described in post no.46, so I can get your opinion. Are you Greek by the way?

I think that just about sums it up....HD Polish ftw!

I've been a huge fan of 85rd / OHP / UF / 205 and all of them have their own little quirks, but I have yet seen anyone including myself experience anything bad with HD Polish.

If you like HD Speed, you'll love HD polish. With both, you can top them with HD Poxy without any ill effects.

Thanks! Wasn't sure if it was the "All in ONe". Going to buy some!

What do you mean by "Wasn't sure if it was the "All in ONe"."? Their All In One product is called "Speed".

I mentioned it from memory, but couldn't remember it.

It's an all in one. Which was what I was trying to say. I don't know this product like some of you brainiacs do.
