I thought only the government bought the Dodge Aries K. LOL. I think the 330 (assumption based on your screen name) is a sweet car that's worth the wait. When you're gonna take the plunge, do it right.
:lol I had that Aries for 3 years before I finally dumped it. I think it needed some kind of repair every other month, and pieces of trim fell off faster than I could glue them back on. Ahhh, the bad old days.

Yes, my screen name is an abbreviation for all-wheel-drive 330 (a BMW 330xi with every option except rear side airbags and park distance control). It was definitely worth the wait. The car puts a smile on my face every time. :)

The true 'sports' version of the BMW 3 series is the M3. Naturally aspirated 3.2liter inline 6, pushing 333 horsepower at 7900rpm's (and what a GLORIOUS engine note it makes!). The next step down in 'sport' quality comparison is the 330ci with the performance package.

Goodluck on your Beemer hunt, and keep us posted.

Also, there are many fantastic BMW forums (i for instance have been a member of the m3forum.com for almost 2 years) that has an abundance of information at your finger tips.

:D

Not to be picky, but for the car version of BMW its "bimmer". "Beemer" is referred to as the motorcycle.

I'm just paying attention to detail, the iron law here at DC. Don't shoot me! :LOLOL

PRICE OF PETROL?!! In Australia we're paying $1.10/litre (91ron), not per Gallon! German engineering will use sfa petrol, most Aussies can't get that thru their thick heads and can be seen turning purple as they part with $70 a tank to keep the old cast iron 8's and lazy 6's on the road for another week.

i just found out something really sad. i cant get my lisense on friday, because my mom has to bring her benz in for service.... maybe monday :(

Anything less than a 330, sedan or coupe, is a waste of your hard-earned and hard-saved dollars... I can barely keep up with tuned Celica GT-Ss (~175-180 hp for the USDM version) as it is... Kind of sad when your $40k plus car ($46,800 out the door), struggles with a car half its price with two less cylinders... And forget about even completely stock Neon SRT-4s, Evos, and WRXs, all cars that can be had for $10k or more LESS than a 330...

Get a Mercedes if you want European Luxury, or a Lexus. Your looking for a luxurious car, not a sporty car. Sorry to say.

The SRT4 / WRXs / Evo's are totally different cars. Not as luxurious as the bimmers. Still love mine! If I want extreme speed I will turn to those cheap crazy fast cars! :bigups

i dont like mercedes that much, something to do with the lights or something. also, one of my friends already has an IS300, so i dont wanna copy him or anything, becaues he mite scratch my rims or my paint or something, when my car is outshining his :)

I suggest a dark colored car thats cheap and easy. If you just want the Bimmer for its looks and class, I wouldn't suggest it. The sportiness is key for the Bimmer.

ic. i was thinking of gettin a hond accord LX 2001 or 2002. one of my dad's friends was telling me that if you can buy a bimmer, you should, however, it costs a lot for maintance.

Worthwhile investment I guess. Getting a Japanese car would be good since its so fuel efficient and easy to repair. Up to you!

BMW is expensive. I must say.

Maintenance is free for the first few years of a new BMW.

i can tell you as of now, no new bimmer for me, unless my mom/dad gets a billion dollars from that pepsi billion dollar sweepstake (or if one of youi feels like contributing a few G's to me) :)
