Longtime project - Crappy Nissan S14

Then lets see. this is a car thats stays in my garage over the winter, the owner was going to repaint it to the summer becaus the paint was all messed up so i told him i could try and fix it for him as i need to practice my wetsanding skills :)

I started using 2000grid wetsanding paper, lots of water!

then i polished the worst using a rotary and wollpad and 3M Fastcut PLUS

Then i used medium pads and Menzerna IP

The wing and boot cover, much better :)

the owner didnt think it could be fixed without repaint :D



finished it up with an Ultrafine polish i dont have the name on :)

i will keep posting pictures when i do stuff on the car :p



some other facts :P the car has över 500 bhp on the rearweels a race clutch and lightweight parts allover it :)

verry fun car to drive. scares the hell out of people thats not ready for the kick it gets when you hit high boost :P
 
So far it looks like your doing a great job, you see the difference polishing makes dont you

Looks great!!! I miss my old S14. The OEM paint went horrid rather quickly (clearcoat failure) as the 90's Nissan paints weren't too forgivable to miscare, good to see one that was salvageable without a repaint.

Ignore the buffer trails and halogramming, that is from the bodyshop that did the paint abusing rotaries and glaze.
