Longest durability spray wax?

Just wondering what would be the most durable spray on wax? I'm not too worried about looks, but rather durability. I have Collinite 885 fleetwax, but I'm wondering if there's something almost as durable in a spray-on form?

OCW and DG AW both have decent durability and can function as stand alone LSPs (they also both look great). However, both are intended to serve more as toppers than true stand alone LSPs and neither one has near the durability of AJT.

+1 for Duragloss Aquawax

I know that AJT is a "spray on" but if you include that, you need to include Zaino CS and the upcoming Optimum Optiseal, which are also "spray on."

Does it have to be wax? Or can we include sealants in here? Definately try the JW line if sealants will work.

Aquawax for me...lasts about 2.5-3 months, depending on conditions. Easy to use, easy to buy down the street at CQ. Beads really well too and has great resistency to grime sticking to the paint, something that I was rather disappointed with in OCW (and its durability frankly).

1Z Ultra Wax: Extremely durable. Great looks. Easy on - easy off and will not stain trim.

If your "wax" means sealant also. Zaino CS and maybe after real-world testing OS. Both, if OS holds true, to have the added advantage of 4+ months maximal protection (a max life-span of 9 mos.) and appearance retention. Doesn't get easier than these 2 products - Wipe-on and Walk away and extremely cost effective (minimal 30-40 applications/bottle or 2.25 - 3.25 applications per month if so desire over year's time. In other words a bottle could potentially last several years even if applied monthly). :xyxthumbs

I thought 1Z "Extra"/"Ultra" was a heavy duty polish.

1Z doesn't have a spray on wax/sealant that I'm aware of - just Glanz Wax which is not spray on product.

Thank-you, You are correct.:bow

I meant 1Z Glanz Wax. Just pour some in a spray bottle and set to work. Glanz Wax is very watery in consistancy.

1Z Raindance is also very good. It is like AW in terms that it initial usage was a wax-as-you-dry product that works also applied to dry paint.

Rats....

I was hoping you knew about some cool new 1Z spray on wax.

I didn't know Glanz wax could be applied through a sprayer - interesting.

Sorry. ;)

Yeah, it pretty cool. That quart container is a pain to carry around so I just pour some in a misting spray bottle, spritz on clean panel and spread. Dries quickly and buffs off effortlessly.:xyxthumbs

If you're a Klasse kind of person, and you have some SG laying around, put it in a spray bottle with water 4:1. I've had great results with it.

It doesn't have to be just waxes - in fact aren't sealants in general more durable anyway?

I've been hearing lots of buzz about Opti-Seal, but it's not very clear as to how it can be applied. I posted in the Opti-Seal thread, but I'm waiting to hear back for more responses.

Is Aquawax more durable than OCW?

In my evaluations, definitely so. I was sorely disappointed with OCW's durability and protection, and it in no way comes remotely close to the company's 5 month claim. I was lucky to get 4-5 weeks out of it, using it as a standalone LSP (maybe it should only be used as a booster, not LSP?). In addition, grime felt as though it had "stuck" to my paint and was very difficult to wash off. Not so with AW at all. Has much better dirt resistance and durability IMO. I hope Opti-seal is better! I am patiently waiting to see if these new spray sealants (CS/OS) live up to the hype. So far, I'm not terribly impressed with CS reports...

I will add, that my testing of OCW and AW (and every product for that matter) is based from 2 cars that sit outside 24/7 and are driven daily. I would imagine that you could realistically add a month or two to my durability estimates for both products if the cars were garaged, i.e. AW could probably go 3-3.5 months, and OCW maybe 2 (both evaluated as standalone LSPs, not boosters).

OCW seemed fine to me, but maybe beacuse I was washing the car at least on a monthly basis and applying OCW everytime. However, I did find that it lasted no more than roughly 6 weeks on a car that parked outside and was exposed to the elements. In a garage however, it should've lasted at least 2 months IMO.

In terms of looks, how does AW compare to OCW?
