Poorboy,

I was hoping you could help.

I have a 00 Chevy Silverado. Indigo Blue Metallic.

Since new I used zaino products (mainly Z5 the scratch and swirl remover along with Z2). Last yr I used meguiers #20 polymer sealant also. I cant complain about the results but I figure I would like to try something new. Since it is a dark color I have scratches (many you can only see at certain angles and with certain light.) and some swirls. I usually clay the truck once a year (usually in May). What products do you recommend. What order are they applied?

Cant wait for warmer weather to come

Thanks!!!

Ryan

Hey Ryan,

Good to see you here. I remember you from back at our days on Edmunds.

That's cool that you still have the Silverado. I dunno who ended up getting my old one. Hope h/h had better luck with it than me.

Anyways you will LOVE Steve's products. I am hooked. My Supercrew has NEVER looked this good since I have owned it, this includes the day I picked it up from the dealer.

Since you have a dark metallic, you will really like the look of it. I have a Burgandy Metallic color truck and Steve's products were the only ones that I have tried that brought out the metal flake in my paint.

I did the following

Wash
Clay
SSR2
EX Sealant (Two coats)
Three Coats of Natty's as a topper.

Result was AWESOME!

I did this all by hand to boot. I want to get a wheel or something this spring tho as I noticed that I have some deeep swirls in my paint that can be seen when you get close to my truck. You can't see them from a distance but up close, they are there.

I plan to talk to Steve in the spring and am thinking of using SSR2.5 with the wheel or PWC. (I have never used one so I am gonna need help here LOL).

In any event, you will be pleased with the Poorboys product line!

Happy New Year to you man!

Hey Jaguar nice to see you around

Just wondering how much of the nattys paste wax do you go through? How much do you use at a time? How do you apply it? It seems like a small container and I would go through it fast???

Very little wax is used. A 6-8 oz. jar of paste wax should do at least 25 applications.

I agree with TW.

So far I have only used the product a handful of times. I have applied three coats to my Supercrew, and another three on my wife's BMW.

I still have a good amount left in the can. I apply it by hand (With Steve's PVA sponge applicator). Just make sure you dampen the sponge first prior to applying. I find it works really sweet that way.

As far as how long it will last, not sure time will tell. I have a large truck as you do so I am not sure if I will get the 25 mentioned by TW, but I think it should last a fair amt of time.

HTH and Happy New Year to you Ryan, and the rest of the gang at DC. :)
