Long Haul degreaser

I too am interested in hearing more about the Truck Degreaser/Bug Remover. I smelled it at Big Lots and decided to pass...was a little too PD-smelling. Would be great for a bug prewash as they suggest on their site (www.long-haul.com) if it didn't take the LSP with it...or maybe even if it did an a car you were going to polish or reapply...I guess I would really like to know if it's water soluble, that is, if I use it as a prewash, can I rinse/wash and not leave anything behind from it.

This is a total noob question, but whats the disadvantages of a PD based product? Discoloration or plastic?

I think it's mostly personal preference. I just don't want to be using an oily, malodorous substance as a bug prewash. If you've ever used a good tar remover (back in the old days, like the Turtle Wax one in the metal can), it's just not something that is pleasurable to use (other than the pleasure of seeing the tar dissolve), nor something I would want to hose down onto my driveway.

I've been preaching the merits of LH stuff for a few months. At the prices all their products are selling for you can't go wrong with any product you buy.

I like the way the degreaser smells. Not over powering like Simple Green. I guess everything smell different to different noses.

The Truck Gloss is my favorite LH product.

Can anyone answer whether the degreaser is a solvent or detergent-based product? Or I suppose it could be a glycol ether which would kind of be inbetween.
