living in l.a. and trying to keep a white car clean

i just bought a 2007 cayman.(white on black) I live in L.A. so my car gets dirty quick. i wash it with meguires gold something and im happy with it but my problems is that it doesnt stay clean for more then a couple hrs. Do any of you have some tips or suggestions that i should think about. i heard something about a spray on that feels like acrylic.
 
welcome sapple, theres no easy answer to your question. you can use a multitude of products on your car to keep it looking good longer. do a search on white cars here and find the products used. id start out with something fairly simple to use and work my way up. or you can just call a local pro to do it for you. while hes there im sure he would be more than willing to give you tips on products and techniques.
 
Abbey-I've got a black/black Carrera S and "feel your pain". I'm a big fan of Optimum No Rinse wash as it's quick and will take care of the kind of dirt you're talking about. I use it all the time.
