2014 Chevy Corvette detailed. 
 
ONR wash
Opti-Clay black (aggressive)
Optimum Hyper Polish using an Optimum orange foam waffle cutting pad and Rupes 21 Da
Optimum Opti-Seal
Optimum Metal Polish on tips
ONR @ 32:1 to clean glass

Finally had a chance to go over my own car, a 2004 Accord. Over the last few years since I corrected and applied Opti-Coat to my paint, I've had the timing belt, both axles and the transmission done on the car so there was some minor marring in the fenders. Plus the headlights had some oxidation so since it was cloudy and in the mid 70s (in late July in north Texas...) I went ahead and redid my car. 
 
ONR wash
Opti-Clay yellow (mild)
3M 3000 grit to wet sand the head lights
Optimum Hyper Compound using an Optimum MF cutting pad to remove sanding marks and compound the whole car
Optimum Opti-Coat Primer Polish
Optimum Opti-Coat on the paint
Optimum Lens Coating on the headlights
Armor All on tires/wheel wells
 

 

 

 

 

 
 
Hey Scott, under what circumstances do you choose Opti Clay and which circumstances do you use Opti Eraser?
 
Let me rephrase my question, under what conditions would you use the Optimum microfiber polishing or cutting pad versus the foam waffle cutting pad?

Almost never use the MF polishing pads, don't think I've even ordered any for several months. If I need a more aggressive pad than the foam, I go MF.

So far no hint of clear coat issues. Seems to be more common with the blue and nighthawk pearl black. 
 
Although the vette looks great, that Accord looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor...without the dealer installed swirls/marring.

Actually, Optimum just has polishing and cutting, Meguiars has cutting and finishing with regards to their MF line-ups. Mostly use MF for cutting and polishing/finishing with really hard paints, everything else, MF for cutting, foam for polishing/finishing.
