I got a chance to try it out on an interior. Here's a couple before and afters from an upcoming product review. Not bad for a 89.00 machine.

Ive used one of those for years. They really do work great and are perfect for mobile guys. Keep aneye on the rubber seals, and always clean it really well after you use it. The seals tend to gum up and start leaking after a while. Im not sure if you can buy replacement seals or not. For the price of the machine, I just buy a new one every year. Good tax write off anyway :)

Yeah thats the ones. I think if a person takes care of it and keeps it clean, it should be fine. Ive been working and all of a sudden the dirty water starts pouring out the bottom. Its happened a few times actually. Its nobodies fault but my own because Im hard on equipment and am guilty of neglect lol.

Edit - Spelling fixed. My phone likes to add random words to my sentences lol

This is the one I bought two years ago and it still works well.

Initially, I followed the directions mixing the cleaner with the water and while it does work leaves a bit of residue behind which attracts dirt rather quickly.

I found that spraying the carpet with carpet cleaner, scrubbing with a brush, then rinsing and extracting the contaminates leaves it clean. Filling the unit with HOT water then using this as a rinse and vacuum gives me a much better end result...

I do the exact same thing!

sent from my brain using my thumb.

I think they work really well. For around $100 they can do a wonderful job. I really suggest staying away from Bissel's cleaning fluids tho. They are expensive and not really effective. Hit a janitorial supply house up and get a gallon of extractor solution for around $12..... you save money and get a better product.

Not sure we have one in town I'll have to get out the phone book. Thanks!

I have cats. Cats puke in the most difficult places. This machine has been a gift from heaven and thus allowed the cats to live on.

If you have a Lowes nearby, they carry the Zep carpet extractor solutions for around $10 a gallon and it works really well.

i've got one of the older models without any heat, but it still works well just using hot water. i follow bobby's pre cleaning tip also. i use the gallon jugs of pro force commercial carpet cleaner from sam's club.

I have pros and cons on TLGM. They do a great job for an extractor that costs under a 100 bucks or there about. I had a heated model that I ran into the ground and would buy another if I wasn't looking for a larger unit with more lift.

The draw backs are the hose is real short and working inside the car, you have to move the unit around a lot. The tanks are small so you are going be emptying and refilling them often on larger jobs.

Not to say this unit isn't worth having for weekend use or spotting IMO

I agree, I don't think I would want to use it everyday trying to make a living. But as you say, for the weekend guy you can get around the cons.

I was about to buy the Vapamore Steamer, whats the difference between using TLGM and the steamer? I know the steamer can be used on more surfaces but how do they compare to carpet?

Well, I couldn't justify spending so much on a pro extractor so I picked up a LGM at Target on sale for $89. It takes a bit of work but I'm pretty happy with the results. I sprayed Meg's APC 10:1 and agitated first, then soaked it with the machine (again APC @ 10:1). then removed in all directions. Now, I keep my interior obsessively clean (especially since I have OCD) and the dirt that came out made me want to hurl. The tank was dang brown.
