if it's clay that drops on the ground, it automaticlly goes into the trash. if i accidently drop a mf towel on the ground, i'll look at it and snap/shake out as much as debris out as possible, and if it looks like too much trouble to clean (also if soaking it in a bucket doesn't seem to work as well), it also goes in the trash. it's just not worth the risk...
