I know there was a knockoff because I was paranoid about NOT using the wrong one on my Corvette circa 1988.

I have to check out my old Vette mags and see if I can find an ad for the 2nd one...

Just what I said....it was called "Liqui-Glass"

Don, could be, but I am pretty sure they both had the name Liquid Glass. Checking my mags tonite.....

The knockoff couldn't have used the same name or the real Liquid Glass would have sued the snot out of them, that's why they named it 'Advanced LIQUI Glass.'

Interesting thread...

I just acquired 8 cans of the LG that PB posted pictures of...

They are in very good condition .

I don't need them all, anybody interested?

Jim

Is Liquid Glass Polish safe to use on the 2005 C-6 corvette as it says in the Corvettes DVD manual do not use any cleaner that contains petroleum distillates. Now is either of the two Liquid Glasses safe the old forumula or the newer one with the Pink Corvette on the gold can? I believe on the can of the newer forumulation of Liquid Glass the pink Corvette on the gold can says it does contain petroleum. If either is not safe Do any other brands that don't contain petroleum that are highly recommended that would give me the most protection and the longest lasting protection? :brick

abc, stick with your own thread because it's shorter and you'll more likely get better answers there.

I posted 2 pics of both kinds of LG from 1989-90 but they're not here...must be someplace else....look around if you want to find them and you'll see the stuff I was looking at 14 years ago.

Hey, didn't I post 2 picutures of the 2 kinds of Liquid Glass from 1989 a few months ago?

What happened to them...anyone??

They must have been posted here, wouldn't have been at another thread. Did Dwayne or someone from the Website take them down because of size or what?

If they were the current bottles you can find those at PeP Boys.

I would buy that old Liquid Glass Polish can just for the can as that can was beautiful as I remember it. The instructions that say you can apply to a dirty car and polish it and use the can as a reflector those two things really make this a novelty. I don't know about the contents of that Liquid Glass if that formula would work on todays new cars or if it is the same in the newer one which of course has different application instructions. :fart
