Light Windshield Scratches

What can I use to remove some very light scratches on my windsheild? I can only see them when they sun shines directly on the glass. They are in the motion of the wipers, so I'm guessing the blades were dirty or worn or whatever....



Any product and/or procedure recommendations? I'm getting ready to place an order with CMA for my spring supplies and need to know what I need to tackle this problem.

Edit: These are not bad enough scratches to feel.
 
Try Cerium Oxide. Go to an Auto Glass Installer and ask for some with instructions. My advice is very fine grit. Should come in microns.
 
Word of caution! I did the Cerium Oxide trick recently (bought the kit from Eastwood Automotive) and it actually causes more scratches, but they are much finer scratches. It definatley helped the larger deeper ones, but in the right sunlight you see a whole mess of fine ones!:eek:



I will eventually replace the windshield in my case. It is not worth doing the rest of the windshield in my opinion. I paid $75 to have a section done to compare and it did the same thing. In fact the professional spot actually looks a little wavy now.



Just a word of caution.
 
These scratches aren't as bad as I think you guys think they are. I mean they are very faint. Only when the sun shines just right on my windshield can you see them.



Will some kind of glass polish work? Like Autoglym or something??
 
Zaino glass polish contains a mild abrasive and should do the job you describe. It can be hand or power applied. Be careful if using power at the edges - it will scuff the rubber gasket.
