Well after much consideration I decided to try somethig other than Zaino on my new Z. While I liked Zaino on my old car I had an itch to try another product. Here's what I did.

First I washed the car with Dawn then used the Pinnacle clay system to clean the paint. It amazing even a new car had a ton of stuff embedded in the paint especially on the hood. I then rinsed off the lubricant, dried it again and then applied the Pinnacle paintwork cleansing lotion with my Porter Cable orbital using a white pad. Once that was done I applied the Pinnacle Souveran Carnauba wax. This stuff is like working with warm butter. Absolutely amazing. No need to wait for it to dry to a haze either. Just wipe it on and off. None of the products leave any white residue or dust. I only have 1 coat on as they recommend waiting about 48 hours for it to cure before applying more. I also purchased some "Koala soft" towels which are way nicer than what I use on my own body. Even the wife commented on them.

The pictures I took were on a cloudy day so they would likely have more detail and "wow" if it was sunny but you'll get the point. Also my measly 2.2 mega pixel camera is probably not up to the challenge. These pics were taken then reduced in size and that's it, no touch ups at all.

This is not a flame or anything against Z. I used it and liked it but I thought I'd offer first hand experience for those who want to try something else. It won't last as long as Z but I don't care. This stuff is so easy to apply and I put Z on at least once a month anyway. The only drawback to this stuff is the price. It isn't cheap.

Hope you enjoy the pics.

HOLY...... that thing is incredible!! I like, I like!! thats just souveran with no sealant under it??? WOW......

I like it, I like it..... the car seems to glow from the light....... incredible pics!! wow.....

Definitely has that carnauba glow to it. Looks like a softer liquid shine instead of the hard reflectivity of a sealant. Beautiful Vette BTW!!

Welcome to where the air is clean and the wax is pure.

Welcome to where the sky is big and the shine is oh so sweet.

Welcome to Carnauba Country.

Love that car, and very nice pictures (even though they took forever to load)

Welcome to the Souveran Club :D

Thanks for the kind words. I was originally going to do a few coats of Klasse but decided against it. I am going to wait a few days to allow it to cure than apply another coat of the Souveran. It should deepen it up even more.

Thanks to everyone here for the tips and advice. I would have never known about all this great stuff without it.

Wow... it looks awesome! The yellow looks so buttery and rich to the eye... and rather than looking like a layer of glass has covered the paint, it looks like it <strong class='bbc'><em class='bbc'>is[/i][/b] the glass... glowing like a pool of water during sunset. Even better.

Magnificent! :up

LOL!!!

I love it - another Souveran fan. It really shows off best on these non-metallic finishes. And it is so damn NICE to use. Congratulations - looks GREAT!

Great shine!!! Souveran Rules :D :up

It would be nice if you can put a coat of Z on your new car FIRST as "base coat" then you can do a comparison between the two. Souveran can still be used exclusively since you like it better, but as a topper that's all. ;)

That car is looking great!

I have to disagree though. I have seen yellow vette with P21S, souveran, and Zaino on them, and they are hard to tell apart side by side. The initial shine is similar on yellow, not plasticy, vs deep, etc, etc. This might be noticed to a greater extent on other colors, but not yellow.

Anyhow, enjoy the shine and let us know how it holds up!
