liability release

Superior Shine

New member
It is time to order new work orders. My question is about the liability release the client will sign at the bottom of the form. Here is what I have now -

I hereby grant Superior Shine to perform the above (checked-off) service/s to the vehicle indicated on this forum. I also grant Superior Shine to operate the vehicle solely for the purpose of auto detailing.

I acknowledge that I have removed all items from the vehicle and I will not hold Superior Shine responsible for any items left in my vehicle. I will not hold Superior Shine responsible for prior damage and/or damage not caused by their negligence.

How is that? What more should to be included to protect myself and my employees?

I don't know that I would have them aknowledge that they have removed all the items. They may not have. You could use the language like "I understand that SuperiorShine is not responisble for any items left in the car at the time of drop off." or something like that. If you require that nothing at all be in the vehicle before they drop it off, then I think the language you have is fine. I think either way covers your butt in case they decide that you deprived them of the $30,000 diamond they left in the armrest. lol
